A relatively recent discovery in the mineral and gem world, angelite was first discovered in 1987 in Peru and is a form of anhydrite crystal.  These earrings showcase the glacial blue of the gemstone with silver plated wire detail. They make a great gift to say ‘calm down’. Angelite is believed to encourage peace and tranquillity, and is associated with the zodiac sign of Aquarius (the water bearer). Not surprisingly, being surrounded by water here in the Isle of Skye, it is a gemstone that I am particularly fond of working with.
