My work is inspired by the landscape, weather, and buildings of the Outer Hebrides around me. I use textures and gemstones to do this; textures can show the rough cliff edges and moorlands around the islands, whilst colours of gemstones can express the richness of the sea, clearness of the skies, the heather blooming and even the golden sands with a Citrine gemstone.I also enjoy making fashionable pieces for my customers in my own unique, free forming, contemporary style. I make all of my jewellery by hand in my small workshop in Lemreway on the Isle of Lewis, apart from my wee starfish which I sandcast and then finish by hand to make them all unique.
