Handmade Viking weave copper wire scarf/shawl pin/brooch

Handmade scarf pin which I have fashioned in the Viking style with the addition of woven copper wire. For the pin, copper wire has been shaped and beaten to strengthen, then antiqued, burnished and sealed with jewellers wax. Can be used to secure scarves and shawls or just worn as an adornment.
Pin measures 5cm (2″)

Inspiration
I have always loved working with copper, especially seeing how the light changes the colours to chestnut and deep rich copper after oxidisation and buffing.
As I use my sheep’s fleece to make scarves, cowls and shawls it feels natural for me to want to make pins and brooches to adorn them.
