Lapis Lazuli is often used as a friendship stone and seen symbolically as a stone of truth, encouraging the wearer to speak their mind and create harmonious relationships. The deep blue of Lapis Lazuli was a potent symbol of life to the Ancient Egyptians and even today it holds powerful associations with truth, wisdom and enlightenment. I wanted to capture that kind of symbolism with this pendant with the wire wrap in gold coloured silver plated wire. The addition of blue dyed faceted quartz on the bail adds to the Egyptian feel.
The pendant diameter is 4cm and it hangs from a triple strand of navy cord finished with a gold plated nickel free clasp.
