Ruth Slater is a contemporary animal artist creating truly unique art in various media from her purpose built studio on Bute’s west coast.

Taking inspiration from her surroundings and her love of animals, Ruth’s art captures that most elusive of qualities…the personality, the very essence of her subject. She lives and works in Bute with her husband and two young children along with a collection of animals.

Ruth's artwork captures the gorgeous nature of animals of the animals she is fascinated by. The range of images are of stunning quality and the artwork a pleasure to buy and give away or keep.
