A stroll in Glenashdale Forest

£65.00
Ships to: United Kingdom Only

An original felt picture, using both wet and needle felting techniques with embroidered details.  This piece is inspired by my many walks in the Glenashdale forest in Whiting Bay on the Isle of Arran.  The forest has amazing light all year round and is a magical place to take a stroll.

Art work measures 19 x 14 cm and is framed in a black wooden box frame (measuring 28cms x23 cms) which has a hook for hanging on a wall and strut back for freestanding on a surface.

Lynns Art on Arran

Having trained as an Art Teacher many years ago I rediscovered my love of painting and all things creative 12 years ago when I moved to the beautiful area of Argyll. Inspired by the scenery and especially the standing stones) I enjoyed using pure watercolour to capture the scenery of the Kilmartin Glen and surrounding area. As time progressed I expanded my art work, enjoying adding mixed media to my watercolours, painting on fabric and using wool to create ‘felted wool’ paintings. My work has been selling in Argyll through B&B’s and The Kilmartin Museum Shop. After many years of visiting the beautiful Isle of Arran I have now achieved my dream of having moved here and having my own Art Studio looking out over the sea towards the Ayrshire coast and Holy Isle. I have started work creating paintings inspired by the stunning land and seascapes around me in watercolour and felt. The presence of standing stones enables me to continue my fascination with these prehistoric features in the landscape.
