Much of the landscape in the Isle of Skye is linked with volcanic activity and erosion. I love that the gemstone Jasper ‘the speckled stone’ is formed from volcanic ash and sediment consolidates. It may not come from the island, but it certainly reflects the feel of the landscape. I designed these earrings to showcase the Jasper – suspended like little ‘planets’ within the rose gold coloured wire hoops. Sure to catch the light, these earrings have plenty of movement. On rose gold plated ear wires. Diameter 2.5cm and drop 3cm.
