Kathie Touin is a singer/songwriter/producer originally from California, now living in the Orkney Islands. She writes and records her own songs and music at home in Starling Recording Studio, the recording space she created in 2014. Kathie has released five CDs.
Facing The Falling Sky is her latest CD album, recorded entirely in Orkney. Across 13 of Kathie's songs plus two instrumentals the album features a mix of vocals, acoustic and electronic instruments as well as ambient recordings (and a song written for her dog, Roscoe). DJ Steve Conway (8Radio.com, ex-Radio Caroline) says: "It's truly brilliant. It's like a late-night conversation with an old friend in a remote windswept house."
