After getting married in the Isle of Harris we eventually moved to live and work in Lewis. I spend my days dog walking around Lewis and the rest of the time out with my camera. I’m never far from a beach and I’m lucky to call it my office.
The work of James Smith who had the gallery in Brue stunned me, my first visits to the island were always staying in Harris but seeing the images made me visit the places in Lewis and led us to be living here. Other people that inspired me was Mairi Martin – whose images of blackhouses and shielings are stunning. Magz Macleod, Impact Imagz for the sunset colours and vibrancy and Callanish Digital Design who helped me with aurora when I used to think it's rare but more common in Scotland than you think!
