'The Tartan Trampoline' is a set of 3 books about 3 young kids caught up together by magic. Starting from a real island setting, these adventures rediscover favourite genres, with strange characters who talk like story-books, comic heroes, or eccentric adults.
As the trip flies along in a lively rhythm, lit up with irony and silliness, we stick together, sharing wonders and secrets and thinking what to do.
Declaration of interest - I'm an old friend of the author's family. On the other hand, I hope this review is fair. I've got 4 younger siblings and 13 nephews and nieces; have worked in schools and libraries; and love travelling through the Highlands and Islands.
The books were presents and the children loved them!
