These cobweb lace scarves are hand knitted on the Isle of Eigg from hand-spun Shetland fleece produced and processed on Eigg. The fleece is hand dyed using natural dyes prior to spinning, creating organic colour combinations. the whole process is designed to minimise environmental impact.

The fleece for these scarves comes from Shetland sheep raised on Eigg. The fleeces are hand washed and processed, then dyed and blended before hand spinning to create a lovely soft yarn which is also warm and surprisingly strong. Each scarf is unique as the yarn is blended and spun specially for the project.
