A linocut print of an otter curled tail-to-nose in a nest of kelp, bladderwrack and shore plants. Printed in green and brown inks on heavy 300gsm white paper.
By Jane Taylor, an artist and print maker in the Isle of Islay, whose linocuts feature the wildlife and shoreline of the island.
The cut is detailed enough to pick out the fur and the bubbles in the seaweed, and the green border softens the dark ink at the centre. Image size 21cm x 20cm.
A good gift for an otter watcher or anyone who slows down at a coast road for the right reason.

Jane Taylor is an artist and print maker living on the Isle of Islay. She draws inspiration from the spectacular landscape, stormy seas and wild weather but also from the varied and differing architecture of Islay's many whisky distilleries.
