A linocut print of the rooftops and washing lines of Portnahaven, in the Isle of Islay, by artist Jane Taylor.

A linocut print looking down over the rooftops of Portnahaven in the Isle of Islay – chimney pots, slate roofs, a flagstaff and a washing line strung with coloured clothes, with cow parsley in the foreground and the sea beyond.

It is the work of Jane Taylor, an artist and printmaker in the Isle of Islay. Each print is hand-pulled in one colour on heavy 300gsm white paper, then finished with a little hand colouring. The image measures 200 by 300 mm.
