This favourite Scottish saying “Lang may yer lum reek” is engraved into a wooden sign. Made in Arran, Scotland. It means “Long may your chimney smoke!”
Lang may yer lum reek is an old Scottish saying. Engraved on oak taken from a Lagg Distillery whisky barrel.
Approximate size 400mm long by 65mm tall.
Being made from real wood each piece will be slightly different due to variations in the wood.
Drilled to accept screws for fixing, or can be supplied to be hung like a picture.

I make various items in wood. Currently most of my signs are on oak from Arran whisky barrels. Things like the ashes caskets are made using timber grown in Arran and milled by a friend who lives just up the road. The products will vary slightly according to the piece of wood used.
