Ocean Blue Cocktail Stirrers
Product of: Isle of Harris
This set of four handmade cocktail stirrers add a splash of colour and fun to your cocktails. They are a great talking point and perfect for stirring a cocktail or mug of coffee.
Each drink stirrer is made from individually hand cut pieces of glass, assembled and fired in my kiln at home. I have used copper sandwiched between the layers of fused glass. During the firing process the copper completely oxidise to leave a beautiful transparent blue cloud and tiny bubbles.
The swizzle sticks measure 18cm (7 inches) and come as a set of four so you can share them with your friends. The stirrers have been annealed at high temperature and then cooled slowly for maximum durability. As they are made by hand each swizzle stick is unique in appearance. They packed into an elegant box for storage or to use as a gift.

Harris Glass Studio
I started making fused glass as a hobby with a tiny kiln in the kitchen that was bought as a Christmas present. I fell in love with the process of designing and making glass, experimenting with lots of different ideas. After listing a few things on Etsy I finally invested in a bigger kiln and installed it in a shed at the end of the garden at our house in the Cotswolds.
Things have grown from there and after visiting the Isle of Harris many times over the years we finally took the plunge and bought a house here. My studio is in Cluer, a small village in the bays of Harris and I count my blessings that the picture is the view from my studio window!
I like to experiment with new designs and techniques, and love the excitement of opening the kiln each morning and seeing what transformation has taken place! When not in the workshop I can be found out running with my dog, Scout or coaching gymnastics.
