Donald John Campbell was born and raised in Waternish in the Isle of Skye. Despite moving away on multiple occasions, he always called Waternish home. He and his family spent time on the West Coast of Waternish where he enjoyed the beautiful sunsets but his heart belonged on the East and so he built his current home on what he considers to be “the better side of the hill”.

He has an amazing ability to tell stories which are captivating and funny. Even when you don’t know the characters he is talking about, he describes them in such a way that you feel they are friends. His stories evoke wonderful memories for everyone who was lucky enough to have grown up in this magical part of the world, and an insight into a way of life.
