Huisinish Coo
Product of: Isle of Harris
The herd of highland cows on the way over to Huisinish have to be amongst the most photographed in the Hebrides! They are gentle giants, usually found blocking the road and will move on (or not!) at their own pace.
This is a candle screen of the happy beasts that will brigten up any living room. The glass is a white opal that gives a gentle glow when a tea light or Skye Candles votive is lit behind it. Each coo is a unique combination of coloured glass so if you’d like to see a photo to choose the one you’d be getting then please drop me a line.
The candle screen itself measures 8cm by 12cm and it comes with a wooden stand to keep it upright.

Harris Glass Studio
I started making fused glass as a hobby with a tiny kiln in the kitchen that was bought as a Christmas present. I fell in love with the process of designing and making glass, experimenting with lots of different ideas. After listing a few things on Etsy I finally invested in a bigger kiln and installed it in a shed at the end of the garden at our house in the Cotswolds.
Things have grown from there and after visiting the Isle of Harris many times over the years we finally took the plunge and bought a house here. My studio is in Cluer, a small village in the bays of Harris and I count my blessings that the picture is the view from my studio window!
I like to experiment with new designs and techniques, and love the excitement of opening the kiln each morning and seeing what transformation has taken place! When not in the workshop I can be found out running with my dog, Scout or coaching gymnastics.
