New Wave Poncho

A poncho knitted in merino lambswool, in the new wave design.

Knitted by Ann Mackie in Orkney, who runs a small knitting business in the islands.

The body is a plain teal and the wave pattern is worked into a wide band around the lower edge in a paler shade. It goes on over the head and drapes over the shoulders, so it works over a jumper or a shirt, and it is light enough to keep in a bag for a cool summer evening.
